Initiative for mediation

An initiative for mediation in a case of crime or dispute can be taken by filling in a mediation initiative form and delivering it to the mediation office of one’s region. The form and the filling instructions can be found on the contact information page of each office, to which there are links above. A mediation initiative is the way to institute mediation proceedings.

An initiative for mediation can be taken by

  • either party,
  • parent, guardian, or other legal representative of an underage child,
  • trustee of a legally incompetent adult,
  • police officer or prosecutor, or
  • another public authority.
